FAQs
What are the exact dimensions of the PC tower compartment?
The product description does not specify the exact dimensions of the PC tower compartment. Please refer to the overall desk dimensions (80 x 45 x 74 cm) and consider common PC tower sizes for fitting. Visual inspection or measuring your own PC tower is recommended before purchase if this is a critical requirement.
Is the desk suitable for a gaming setup?
The desk is designed for general study and work. While it can accommodate a monitor and keyboard, its compact size and surface area might be limiting for extensive gaming setups with multiple peripherals, large keyboards, and gaming mice that require significant space.
How resistant is the engineered wood to spills?
The engineered wood features resistance to moisture, but it is not waterproof. Small spills should be wiped up immediately with a dry cloth to prevent damage. Prolonged exposure to liquids can still affect the material.
Can the keyboard tray be removed?
The product information does not state whether the keyboard tray is removable. Typically, trays integrated with runners are not designed for easy removal without potentially damaging the desk structure.
What is the weight capacity of the desk?
Specific weight capacity information is not provided in the product details. However, engineered wood generally offers good stability for standard office equipment like monitors, laptops, and books.
Does the desk come pre-assembled?
No, the desk requires assembly. A manual is included in the box to guide you through the setup process.
What is the model number of this desk?
The model number for this vidaXL desk is 815477.
Troubleshooting
Desk wobbles after assembly
Ensure all screws and connectors are fully tightened. Check that the desk is on a level surface. If wobbling persists, check if any components were installed incorrectly during assembly.
Keyboard tray sticks or does not slide smoothly
Check for any obstructions in the tray runners. Ensure no documents or cables are interfering with its movement. Lightly lubricate the runners if necessary, using a silicone-based lubricant suitable for wood or engineered wood.
Scratches or marks on the surface
For minor scratches, a wood repair crayon or furniture polish might help. Avoid placing hot or wet items directly on the surface without protection. Always use coasters and placemats.
PC tower does not fit in the compartment
Double-check the dimensions of your PC tower against the compartment's specifications. If it's slightly too large, consider alternative storage solutions like placing the tower on the floor next to the desk, ensuring adequate ventilation.
