Setup, Compatibility & Care
For a successful installation, mount the unit vertically using the provided 304 stainless steel brackets to allow for proper air purging. Always install a Y-strainer or a sediment filter on the fluid intake lines to protect the narrow internal channels from clogging, as debris can permanently reduce heat transfer efficiency. Ensure all connections are tightened using pipe sealant or Teflon tape rated for your specific fluid and temperature requirements. When performing system maintenance, it is recommended to conduct a periodic back-flushing or chemical cleaning cycle using a mild descaling solution to maintain the integrity of the plates. If the unit is used in an outdoor environment, ensure the system is properly drained or protected with glycol during winter months to prevent freezing damage.
