Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. For optimal adhesion, surfaces should be sound.
- Cutting: Use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the tape to the required length. Plan your cuts to minimize waste and ensure sufficient overlap.
- Application: Peel off the silicone release liner section by section. Immediately press the exposed adhesive firmly onto the intended surface. Use firm pressure, especially along edges and seams, to ensure good contact.
- Positioning: Apply the tape carefully to the correct position on the first attempt. While some minor adjustments might be possible, repositioning can compromise adhesion.
- Overlap: For continuous seals, ensure a minimum overlap of 5 cm between sections of tape.
Compatibility:
The tape is generally compatible with most common construction materials including metals, aluminum, steel, painted surfaces, plastics, concrete, wood, and glass. Always test on an inconspicuous area if unsure about material compatibility.
Care:
Store the tape in its original packaging in a well-ventilated and dry room, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Proper storage will maintain the tape's adhesive properties.
