Product Information
Full details
The Prunus Spire Tree, also known as Prunus 'Spire', is a slow-growing, deciduous ornamental tree with a narrow, almost columnar growth habit. It features dense, upright branches that form a narrow-conical crown. This tree offers beautiful color changes throughout the year, with young green leaves turning crimson to fiery red in autumn. It produces clusters of pink flowers in spring that attract bees, and while it does bear fruit, they are inconspicuous. The Prunus Spire thrives in well-drained, nutrient-rich soils that are neutral to alkaline, and prefers a sunny location. It is frost-hardy and requires minimal care, with pruning only recommended after flowering to maintain its shape. This low-maintenance tree is ideal for smaller gardens or urban areas due to its compact size, often planted as a single specimen or in groups in various landscapes.
