FAQs

How many swivels come in a pack?

Each pack contains 10 individual HD Spinner Swivels.

Are these swivels suitable for Ronnie rigs?

Yes, these are specifically engineered to optimize the mechanics of Ronnie and Spinner rig presentations.

Does the finish reflect light underwater?

No, the swivels feature a matte, non-reflective finish designed to remain stealthy.

Can I use these for other rig types?

While optimized for spinner rigs, they can be used for any rig requiring a strong, high-rotation swivel connection.

Do I need special tools to mount these?

You will need a standard baiting needle to manipulate the components and a heat source to shrink the tubing used to secure the hook.

Troubleshooting

Swivel appears stiff or fails to rotate freely

Check for debris or grit between the barrel and eye; rinse with warm water and apply a light drop of fishing-grade lubricant if necessary.

Hook alignment feels unstable on the swivel

Ensure that the shrink tube is long enough to fully cover the hook eye and the swivel attachment point to provide adequate rigidity.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly stronger than standard spinner swivels
Reliable rotation prevents rig tangles
Low-visibility matte finish
Ideal for Ronnie rig enthusiasts

Cons

Slightly heavier than lightweight alternatives
Requires specific bait needles for mounting
Not intended for finesse ultra-light setups

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up these swivels, slide your chosen hook eye over the opening of the swivel, then slide a small piece of shrink tube over the connection to lock the hook in place. Once the tube is steamed, the hook remains secure but retains the necessary freedom of movement. These swivels are compatible with most standard carp hook patterns. To ensure longevity, rinse the swivels in fresh water after use in salty or silty environments to prevent grit buildup, and inspect the swivel rotation periodically before every session.
