The primary use is for driving and pulling nails from wood, making it ideal for carpentry and general DIY projects.
The hammer head is made of solid carbon steel.
The hammer weighs approximately 15 ounces (14.88 oz).
This hammer is designed for woodworking and is not recommended for striking metal or working with metal nails.
Clean the steel head after each use and store in a dry place. Lightly oiling the head can prevent rust.
The handle is integrated into the design. If damaged, the hammer may need to be replaced.
The V-shaped claw is used to grip and lever out nails that have been driven into wood.
Ensure the handle is securely attached. For wooden handles, check for swelling or shrinking. For composite handles, inspect the ferrule. If looseness persists and cannot be rectified, cease use and consider replacement.
Ensure the claw is clean and free of debris. The nail may be bent or damaged; try a new nail. For deeply embedded nails, position the claw firmly under the nail head and use a rocking motion.
Gently scrub the rust spots with a wire brush or fine-grit sandpaper. Clean the head thoroughly and apply a thin coat of tool oil to prevent further corrosion.
Setup: This hammer requires no assembly. It is ready for immediate use upon unpacking.
Compatibility: The hammer is compatible with standard nails for driving and extracting from wood materials. It is not designed for use with metal, plastic, or concrete.
Care: To maintain the hammer, clean the steel head after each use to remove dirt and debris. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust. Periodically check the handle for any signs of wear or damage. A light application of oil on the steel head can offer additional rust protection if stored for extended periods.
