Troubleshooting
Paint not covering evenly
Ensure the surface is properly prepared and primed if necessary. Stir the paint thoroughly before and during use. Apply in thin, even coats rather than one thick coat.
Brush marks or roller marks visible
Use a good quality brush or roller suitable for emulsion paint. Apply paint using consistent strokes and avoid overworking the paint. Maintain a 'wet edge' to blend sections seamlessly.
Paint taking too long to dry
Ensure the room is adequately ventilated. Avoid painting in very cold or humid conditions, as this can slow drying times. Check that the correct paint-to-surface ratio is being used.
Uneven finish after drying
This can be due to inconsistent application or poor surface preparation. Ensure all imperfections were addressed before painting. Apply a second coat if necessary, ensuring even coverage.
