Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Groundlevel Heated Clothes Airer is straightforward:
- Unfold: Carefully lift the airer from its folded position. Extend the legs and wings fully until they click securely into place. Ensure it is stable on a flat, level surface.
- Placement: Position the airer near a standard electrical outlet, ensuring the power cord can reach without being stretched or creating a tripping hazard. Keep it away from curtains, furniture, or other flammable materials.
- Plug In: Insert the power plug into a suitable wall socket. The airer will begin to heat up automatically once plugged in.
Compatibility
- Power: The airer operates on a standard domestic electrical supply. Check your local voltage requirements if traveling or in an unfamiliar setting.
- Garments: Suitable for most fabric types, but always check individual garment care labels before placing them on the heated airer. Avoid placing items that are dripping wet; ideally, laundry should be spun dry first.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and efficiency of your airer:
- Cleaning: To clean the airer, unplug it from the mains and allow it to cool completely. Wipe down the bars and frame with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the aluminum finish.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the airer is clean and dry. Fold it back into its slim 5cm profile and store it in a dry, safe place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Safety: Always unplug the airer when not in use or before cleaning. Do not immerse the airer in water. Do not cover the airer with anything that could obstruct airflow, other than the specially designed optional cover. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use if the power cord or plug is damaged.
