The Sealey Siegen Side Cutters are designed for DIY enthusiasts and professionals seeking a reliable, heavy-duty cutting tool for electrical and general wire work. Their key benefit lies in the hardened, heat-treated steel construction that ensures long-term sharpness and resilience, though the tool is specifically engineered for wire cutting and should not be used as a prying tool.

No, these are designed for standard wire and cable. Cutting hardened metal can damage the precision edges.
The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship, though it does not cover misuse or improper maintenance.
No, these handles are designed for comfort and grip, not as VDE-rated insulation for high-voltage electrical work.
A soft cloth dampened with mild detergent or a specialized chrome cleaner works best to maintain the shine and protect against rust.
If the tool shows signs of mechanical failure, it should be returned under the lifetime guarantee policy.
Apply a small amount of light machine oil to the pivot point and work the cutters open and closed several times.
Use a fine abrasive pad to remove surface oxidation and keep the tool stored in a dry location.
Ensure the cutters have not been used to cut materials beyond their intended rating; if the issue persists, contact the manufacturer under the lifetime guarantee.
These side cutters require no assembly and are ready for use immediately upon unboxing. To ensure the longevity of your tool, avoid cutting wire that exceeds the jaw's capacity, as this can cause the steel to chip or the hinge to misalign. After working in damp or oily conditions, wipe the jaws with a clean, dry cloth. Occasionally applying a drop of light machine oil to the hinge pivot will ensure the jaws continue to open and close with a smooth action.
