The THOR INSTRUMENTS Nautical Antique Spyglass Telescope is designed for maritime enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate a blend of historical aesthetics and functional optics. Its key benefit lies in its reliable 10x magnification housed within a robust 3-fold brass construction, making it an excellent companion for coastal observation. However, users should note that as a vintage-style reproduction, it lacks the advanced image stabilization found in modern digital optics, requiring a steady hand for the best viewing experience.

No, this is a reproduction nautical instrument and is not sealed for submersion or heavy rain.
When collapsed, the unit measures approximately 6 inches, making it easy to store.
While it offers 10x magnification, it is primarily designed for terrestrial viewing and maritime identification.
The product is designed as a standalone handheld optic; please check your specific packaging for included accessories.
Focus is achieved by manually extending or retracting the smallest eyepiece section until your target is sharp.
Adjust the focus by slowly sliding the eyepiece segment in or out until the subject comes into clear view.
Ensure the tension on the visor is sufficient; if it is loose, check for any small debris that might be preventing it from seating correctly.
Ensure you are pulling the segments straight; slight misalignment can cause the brass tubes to stick.
To begin using the telescope, gently pull each segment outward until the internal locking mechanism seats firmly. To clean the optics, use only a soft, dry microfiber lens cloth to avoid scratching the glass surfaces. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive materials on the antique finish, as these may damage the protective coating. When storing, ensure the spyglass is fully collapsed and kept in a dry environment to prevent dust accumulation inside the lens barrels.
