Product Information
Full details
The DeepCool AG400 ARGB is designed for PC builders and enthusiasts seeking efficient CPU cooling with a touch of customizable aesthetics. Its key benefit lies in its excellent thermal performance, capable of dissipating up to 220W of heat, while its ARGB lighting adds visual flair to your build. A potential consideration is its single-tower design, which may be less effective for extreme overclocking scenarios compared to larger dual-tower coolers.

FAQs
What is the maximum TDP this cooler can support?
The DeepCool AG400 ARGB is rated for a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of up to 220W, providing excellent cooling for most mainstream and performance CPUs.
Does this cooler come with thermal paste pre-applied?
No, thermal paste is included separately in the package. You will need to apply it to the CPU before installing the cooler.
Can I control the ARGB lighting effects?
Yes, the ARGB lighting can be controlled and synchronized with your motherboard's ARGB software or a compatible controller, provided your motherboard has the necessary 3-pin ARGB header.
What Intel and AMD sockets are supported?
It supports Intel LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 115X (1150, 1151, 1155) and AMD AM5, AM4 sockets.
How does the fan mounting system simplify installation?
The fan lock mounting system allows you to install the cooler without needing to remove the fan first, saving time and making the process more convenient.
What is the warranty period for this CPU cooler?
Please refer to the official DeepCool product page or your retailer for the most up-to-date warranty information specific to your region.
Is this cooler suitable for an ITX build?
With a height of 150mm and a width of 125mm, it should fit in many mid-tower and larger ITX cases. Always check your case's CPU cooler clearance specifications.
Troubleshooting
CPU temperature is high despite cooler installation.
Ensure the fan is spinning and connected to the CPU_FAN header. Verify that the cooler is securely mounted with even pressure. Check if thermal paste was applied correctly and if protective films were removed from the heatsink base.
ARGB lighting is not working.
Confirm that the 3-pin ARGB connector is correctly plugged into a compatible motherboard ARGB header. Ensure that ARGB software on your motherboard is enabled and configured.
Cooler is noisy.
Check fan speed settings in BIOS or software. Ensure the fan blades are not obstructed. If noise persists at all speeds, the fan bearing might be faulty.
Installation is difficult or impossible.
Double-check that you are using the correct mounting hardware for your specific CPU socket. Refer to the manual for detailed diagrams of the installation process.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Effective heat dissipation for its class (up to 220W TDP).
- Customizable ARGB lighting enhances build aesthetics.
- Easy and secure installation process for both Intel and AMD.
- Compact single-tower design fits in most standard PC cases.
- Quiet operation at lower fan speeds.
Cons
- May not be sufficient for extreme overclocking or very high-end CPUs.
- ARGB lighting requires a compatible motherboard header and controller.
- Single-tower design limits maximum cooling potential compared to dual-tower options.
- Hydraulic bearing may have a shorter lifespan than some other bearing types.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
This cooler supports a wide range of modern Intel and AMD sockets, including LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 115X (1150, 1151, 1155), and AMD AM5/AM4 platforms. Always verify your motherboard socket type before installation.
Installation:
- Ensure your motherboard is prepared and any existing cooler is removed.
- Install the correct mounting brackets onto the motherboard using the provided screws.
- Apply thermal paste to the CPU surface (a small pea-sized amount in the center is usually sufficient).
- Carefully align the cooler heatsink over the CPU and secure it using the retention mechanism.
- Connect the 120mm ARGB PWM fan to the appropriate header on your motherboard (CPU_FAN and a 3-pin ARGB header).
Care:
Periodically clean the heatsink fins and fan blades to maintain optimal airflow and cooling efficiency. Use compressed air to remove dust buildup. Avoid using harsh chemicals; a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning the exterior.
