Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Planting: Choose a location with well-draining soil and either full sun or partial shade. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Gently remove the plant from its container and loosen any circling roots. Place the plant in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Backfill with soil, gently firming it around the roots. Water thoroughly after planting.
- Soil: Cordyline Red Star prefers well-draining soil. Amend heavy clay soils with organic matter to improve drainage. Soil pH should be slightly acidic to neutral.

- Fertilizing: Feed in spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application rates.
- Pruning: Pruning is usually not necessary, but you can remove any dead or damaged leaves. If you wish to control the size or shape of the plant, prune in late winter or early spring.
- Compatibility: Cordyline Red Star complements a wide range of plants. Consider pairing it with:
- Plants with contrasting foliage (e.g., silver-leaved plants).
