Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, ensure the pipes are cut squarely and deburred properly to prevent damage to the internal seals. Slide the compression nut and olive onto the pipe before inserting the pipe into the stopcock body. Tighten the nut by hand first, then use a suitable wrench to tighten approximately one full turn; do not overtighten, as this can deform the olive. For maintenance, periodically operate the handle to prevent lime scale buildup. If the valve becomes stiff over time, a light application of plumbing-grade silicone grease to the stem can help maintain smooth operation. Always ensure the system is drained before beginning installation to avoid water damage.
