Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Bernstein 5-030 Titan Tweezers require no setup. They are ready for immediate use out of the box, typically stored within their provided nylon wallet.
Compatibility: These tweezers are universally compatible with electronic components, PCBs, jewelry making, and other fine manipulation tasks. Their material properties make them suitable for use with a wide range of chemicals and temperatures commonly encountered in electronics work.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the tips with a soft brush or a lint-free cloth. For stubborn residue like solder, a small amount of isopropyl alcohol can be used carefully on the tips, followed by thorough drying. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
- Storage: Store the tweezers in their provided nylon wallet to protect the tips from damage and contamination. Ensure they are dry before storing.
- Handling: While durable, avoid dropping the tweezers or using them for tasks beyond their intended precision gripping purpose, as this could bend or damage the fine tips.
- Corrosion Resistance: Although resistant to aggressive acids, prolonged exposure should still be avoided. Rinse and dry thoroughly if exposed to corrosive substances.
