FAQs

Is the Trakker NXC Scout Rucksack waterproof?

It features a hard-wearing waterproof base designed to protect your gear when placed on wet ground, though the main body fabric is water-resistant rather than fully submersible.

Can I remove the internal rig tray?

Yes, the EVA rig tray is removable, allowing you to use the top pocket for other gear if preferred.

What is the purpose of the central breather section on the back?

The central breather section allows for increased airflow between your back and the rucksack, which helps reduce sweat and heat buildup during hot days on the bank.

How do I attach my bankware to the side?

Use the integrated elastic and webbing loops found on both sides of the rucksack to slide banksticks or smaller rod supports through.

Is this suitable for overnight sessions?

It is ideal for short to medium overnight sessions, provided you are organized with your tackle and clothing choices.

Troubleshooting

Shoulder straps feel loose during transit

Ensure you pull the top tension buckles tight after tightening the main shoulder straps to pull the load closer to your center of gravity.

Rig tray magnets losing strength

Clean the magnetic corners of the EVA tray with a dry cloth to ensure no grit is preventing a flush connection.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent organization for mobile angling
Highly comfortable padding for long walks
Breathable design prevents heat buildup on the back
Waterproof base protects gear from wet ground
Versatile external attachment options for bankware

Cons

Not intended for massive amounts of bulky equipment
Requires careful packing to maximize the smaller footprint
Camouflage pattern may not appeal to all styles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To get the most out of your NXC Scout, adjust the shoulder straps and tension buckles while the bag is loaded to distribute the weight evenly across your torso. The adjustable top pocket straps are designed to secure bulkier, outer items such as unhooking mats or jackets.

Care Instructions:

Wipe down the waterproof base after each session to prevent mud buildup.
Avoid using harsh detergents on the Polyester fabric; mild soapy water is sufficient.
Ensure the rucksack is completely dry before storing it for long periods to maintain the integrity of the Neoprene padding.
