Product Information

Full details

Himalayan salt blocks are mined from ancient mineral deposits. They are harder than modern manufactured blocks so they last longer, and they have a range of naturally occurring minerals within them. They can even be kept outdoors as they will not readily dissolve or break up. Horses often prefer them to artificial blocks. Each salt lick is supplied without a rope and sold without a holder (sold separately). Extra hard salt lick. These Hilton Herbs Himalayan Rock salt licks are literally rock hard, meaning that horses and ponies are unable to bite chunks off the block, a problem that can occur with the softer-pressed salt licks. They're weather resistant and will not dissolve into a mush when left out in the rain, so they can be safely left outside in the field for your horse to self-dose.
