Forge Motorsport Alloy Wheel Spacers are CNC precision machined with a dual 5 stud bolt pattern fo...Forge Motorsport Alloy Wheel Spacers are CNC precision machined with a dual 5 stud bolt pattern for both 100 and 112mm PCD fitments. The Forge wheel spacers are anodised black to inhibit corrosion and "bonding" to the wheel or hub. These Forge spacers are suitable for most vehicles produced by the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda group.
These spacers are priced and sold per pair. Sizes quotes are per spacer - eg 2 x 5mm spacers will increase the track width by 10mm.
Extended wheel bolts not supplied.
Note: The 11mm, 16mm, and 20mm hubcentric wheel spacers will NOT work on the rear wheels of Mk3 Golf 5x100 applications due to the longer length of the centre spigot. There is no problem with the smaller 3mm, 5mm and 8mm NON-hubcentric spacers.
Although the 3mm, 5mm and 8mm are NON-hubcentric the hub still passes through the wheel spacer and the wheel is still supported by the hub.
For Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda owners looking to subtly widen their vehicle's stance or accommodate different wheel offsets, Forge Motorsport Alloy Wheel Spacers offer a precise solution. These CNC-machined spacers, anodized black for corrosion resistance, provide a clean aesthetic enhancement and can improve handling dynamics. A key consideration is that extended wheel bolts are not supplied and certain thicknesses may not be compatible with specific rear axle applications on certain Golf models.

FAQs
Are these spacers sold individually or as a pair?
Forge Motorsport Alloy Wheel Spacers are sold and priced per pair.
Do I need special wheel bolts?
Yes, when using wheel spacers, you will need extended wheel bolts. These are not supplied with the spacers and must be purchased separately.
What does 'dual 5 stud bolt pattern' mean?
It means the spacers have two sets of bolt holes, accommodating both 5x100mm PCD and 5x112mm PCD bolt patterns, increasing their compatibility across different VAG vehicles.
Can these spacers be used on any vehicle?
These spacers are specifically designed for most vehicles produced by the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda group that use 5x100mm or 5x112mm PCD. Compatibility with other vehicle makes is not guaranteed.
What is the benefit of the anodized black finish?
The anodized black finish serves to inhibit corrosion and prevent the spacer from 'bonding' or sticking to the wheel hub or the wheel itself, making future removal easier.
Will these spacers fit the rear of my Mk3 Golf (5x100)?
The 11mm, 16mm, and 20mm hubcentric wheel spacers may not work on the rear wheels of Mk3 Golf 5x100 applications due to the longer length of the vehicle's center spigot. The smaller 3mm, 5mm, and 8mm non-hubcentric spacers are generally compatible.
How much does track width increase?
The size quoted is per spacer. For example, using two 16mm spacers will increase the total track width by 32mm (16mm on each side of the axle).
Troubleshooting
Wheel vibration after installation
Ensure spacers are perfectly flat against the hub and wheel mating surfaces. Verify extended wheel bolts are the correct type and length and are torqued properly. Check for any debris trapped between the hub, spacer, or wheel.
Spacers do not sit flush
Clean both the vehicle's hub face and the spacer's inner surface meticulously. Ensure no corrosion or dirt is present. Check if the wheel hub lip is preventing the spacer from seating correctly.
Difficulty installing wheel bolts
Confirm you are using the correct extended wheel bolts for your vehicle and the installed spacers. Ensure the bolt thread pitch and seat type match.
Noise or clunking from wheels
Re-check the torque on all wheel bolts. Ensure the spacers are not cracked or damaged. Verify that the wheel is not making contact with the suspension components due to the increased track width.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Precision fit due to CNC machining.
Corrosion resistance with anodized black finish.
Versatile fitment for common VAG bolt patterns.
Enhances vehicle stance and potentially handling.
Durable construction for long-term use.
Cons
Extended wheel bolts are not included and must be sourced separately.
Specific thicknesses (11mm, 16mm, 20mm) may not fit the rear of Mk3 Golf 5x100 applications due to spigot length.
Requires careful measurement and selection to ensure proper fitment.
Installation may require specialized tools or knowledge.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Ensure Compatibility: Verify your vehicle's bolt pattern (PCD) and hub bore diameter. These spacers are designed for 5x100mm and 5x112mm PCD. Check the specific fitment notes regarding Mk3 Golf rear fitment for 16mm spacers.
Obtain Extended Wheel Bolts: Since the spacers increase the distance between the hub and the wheel, you will require extended wheel bolts. Ensure these bolts are compatible with your vehicle's thread pitch and seat type (e.g., ball or cone seat).
Clean Hub and Wheel Surfaces: Thoroughly clean the vehicle's hub face and the mating surface of the wheel to remove any dirt, grease, or corrosion. This ensures a flush and secure fit.
Mount Spacers: Place the spacers onto the wheel hub. Ensure they sit flat against the hub face.
Mount Wheels: Fit the wheels over the spacers. Insert and tighten the extended wheel bolts according to your vehicle manufacturer's torque specifications.
Compatibility:
Vehicle Fitment: Primarily designed for vehicles within the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda (VAG) group that utilize 5x100mm or 5x112mm PCD.
Hubcentric vs. Non-Hubcentric: While larger sizes (11mm, 16mm, 20mm) are hubcentric, smaller sizes (3mm, 5mm, 8mm) are non-hubcentric but still allow the hub to pass through, supporting the wheel.
Spigot Length: Be aware of the potential incompatibility of 11mm, 16mm, and 20mm spacers on the rear wheels of Mk3 Golf 5x100 applications due to the longer center spigot.
Care:
Cleaning: Clean the spacers periodically with a mild degreaser and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the anodized finish.
Inspection: Regularly inspect the spacers and wheel bolts for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loosening. Re-torque wheel bolts after the first 50-100 miles of driving.
Lubrication: Do not apply grease or anti-seize to the hub face or spacer mating surfaces, as this can lead to over-tightening and potential damage.
