Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The multimeter comes with a battery pre-installed and test prods. To begin, ensure the battery is correctly seated. Select the desired measurement function (e.g., AC voltage, DC current, resistance) and range using the rotary dial. Connect the appropriate test prod to the corresponding input jack (typically COM for common/negative and VΩmA for positive measurements).
Compatibility: This multimeter is designed for general-purpose electrical measurements on common household circuits and electronic devices. It is not intended for high-voltage industrial applications or specialized automotive diagnostics.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity, keep the multimeter clean and dry. Wipe the casing with a slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Periodically inspect the test prods and cables for any signs of damage. The device has a Protection Class of IP20, meaning it offers minimal protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and no protection against water.
