Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Commander Deck - Quandrix Unlimited

Commander is a popular multiplayer format for Magic: The Gathering where each player chooses a legendary creature as their 'Commander'. Players then construct a 100-card deck (including the Commander, with no duplicate cards except basic lands) that adheres to the color identity of their Commander. The game is typically played with three or more players.

'Quandrix Unlimited' refers to the specific pre-constructed Commander deck that focuses on the Quandrix college from the Strixhaven setting, emphasizing themes of mathematics, numbers, and growth.

The deck contains 100 cards, including two foil borderless legendary creatures and 98 other cards (96 nonfoil and 2 traditional foil borderless legendary cards).

Yes, the deck includes 10 double-sided token cards that represent creatures or other permanents your spells might create during gameplay.

Absolutely. This is a great starting point, and you can customize it by swapping cards to better suit your playstyle or to include more powerful options available in Magic: The Gathering.

The two legendary creatures designated as commanders are Traditional Foil Borderless cards.

The Quandrix deck is built to maximize X-spells. Focus on playing mana ramp cards early to generate more mana, and look for spells that reduce casting costs to allow you to cast your X-spells for a higher value.

The deck includes several mana ramp and card draw spells. Ensure you are familiar with their effects and prioritize playing them early. Consider upgrading the deck with additional ramp (e.g., `Sol Ring`, `Talisman of Curiosity`) or draw options if needed.

X-spells require significant mana investment. Focus on playing mana ramp spells early to accelerate your mana production. Consider spells that reduce the cost of your X-spells or provide additional mana to maximize their impact.

While the deck focuses on building its own threats, utilize the board wipes and removal spells included to manage opposing threats. Look for opportunities to combo off or deploy a large X-spell to regain board control.

Use spells that protect your commanders or provide alternative ways to generate value. Cards that allow you to cast spells from your graveyard or benefit from spells being countered can help mitigate commander removal.
