Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
The Pitt Artist Pens are ready to use directly out of the wallet. Simply remove the cap from the desired pen and begin drawing. Ensure caps are replaced immediately after use to prevent the nibs from drying out.
Compatibility:
These pens are compatible with most standard drawing and illustration papers. The pigment ink adheres well to paper surfaces. Due to their water-resistant nature, they are suitable for use with watercolor, gouache, and other water-based media once the ink is dry. They can also be used with markers, though extensive blending may cause some minor ink lift if not fully dry.
Care:
- Always recap the pens immediately after use.
- Store the pens horizontally or nib-up to ensure even ink flow.
- Avoid dropping the pens, as this can damage the nibs.
- If the ink flow seems reduced, try gently squeezing the pen barrel or storing it nib-down for a short period (use caution to avoid leakage).
