Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Sowing: Sow seeds directly into prepared soil or pots after the last frost, typically from March to July. Aim for a sowing depth of about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch). Ensure good seed-to-soil contact and water gently. For continuous harvests, sow seeds every 2-3 weeks.
Location: This lettuce variety thrives in a sunny to partially shaded location. It is highly compatible with pots, window boxes, raised beds, and traditional garden borders.
Soil: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil. Enriching the soil with compost before planting will promote healthy growth.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry periods, to prevent bolting (premature flowering) and bitterness. Water at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the leaves unnecessarily.
Care: Thin seedlings once they are large enough to handle, leaving approximately 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) between plants. Monitor for common pests like slugs and aphids, and address them promptly.
