Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure both your source device (e.g., gaming console, Blu-ray player) and display device (e.g., TV, projector) are powered off.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI output port on your source device.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI input port on your display device.
- Power on your devices. Your display should automatically detect the input signal.
Compatibility:
This cable is backward compatible with previous HDMI versions (e.g., HDMI 2.0, 1.4), but to benefit from HDMI 2.1 features like 8K, 4K@120Hz, eARC, and VRR, both the connected devices and the cable must support these specifications.
Care:
- Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable.
- Keep connectors clean; use a dry, soft cloth to wipe them if necessary.
- Do not expose the cable to extreme temperatures or moisture.
- When disconnecting, pull by the connector housing, not the cable itself.
