Product Information

Full details

The Carp Spirit Blax VXR Bite Alarm Set is designed for serious carp anglers who require a reliable, high-performance monitoring system for variable weather conditions. Its primary strength lies in its 150m wireless range and high-visibility blue LED indicators, providing peace of mind during long night sessions. A key caveat for new users is that the necessary 9V and AAA batteries are not included in the box, so you will need to purchase these separately before heading to the water.

FAQs

What is the wireless range of the Blax VXR?

The system offers an effective wireless range of up to 150 meters.

Are the batteries included?

No, you need to provide your own 9V batteries for the alarms and 3 x AAA batteries for the receiver.

Can I connect other indicators to these alarms?

Yes, there is a standard 2.5mm jack plug compatible with most third-party indicators.

How long do the LEDs stay lit after a bite?

The high-visibility blue LEDs stay lit for 20 seconds to help you identify the strike.

Are the alarms waterproof?

They are constructed with high-impact ABS designed for outdoor use, but they should not be submerged in water.

Troubleshooting

Receiver not picking up signals from an alarm

Check that batteries in both the alarm and receiver are fresh and correctly oriented.

Frequent false alarms due to wind

Lower the sensitivity setting on the alarm head until the unit ignores environmental movement.

LED indicator failing to latch

Check the battery voltage; low power can cause irregular LED behavior.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your Blax VXR, insert the 9V batteries into the alarm heads and 3 x AAA batteries into the receiver. Ensure all rubber seals are seated correctly to maintain weather resistance. The 2.5mm jack allows you to connect illuminated bobbins or hangers. For maintenance, wipe down the units with a damp, lint-free cloth after every trip to remove mud or salt. Always remove batteries during long-term storage to prevent leakage and potential internal corrosion.
