The Astini Canterbury ceramic sink is carefully made to a very high standard in a world-renowned ceramics factory in the United Arab Emirates. The factory is one of the largest ceramics manufacturers in the world, producing millions of pieces of sanitaryware annually. The sink is made from high-quality fireclay ceramic and has been designed with modern contemporary as well as traditional aesthetics in mind, making it suitable for all types of kitchen designs, including handle-less cabinets as well as traditional shaker-style kitchen cabinets. The sink is finished to a brilliant gloss white finish, making it extremely smooth and cool to touch. It benefits from being dirt and grime repellent, totally odour-free, heat-proof up to 1000 centigrade, has a food-safe surface, is stain-resistant, impact-resistant, and has a hygienic surface. The sink measures approximately 1010mm wide by 510mm deep, making its size ideal for a first-time installation in a new kitchen worktop or as a replacement for an existing kitchen worktop, as most standard sinks measure 1000mm wide by 500mm deep, which means the previous sink cutout area is totally covered. The sink is supplied without any tap holes punched/drilled, allowing the user to decide whether to install the tap to the sink or to the worktop. The sink can be installed so the sink bowl can be on either the left- or right-hand side. As the tap hole can be drilled at the top to accommodate a monobloc tap and at the bottom, installing a waste disposal air switch, automatic waste knob, or soap dispenser can be achieved, keeping the sink totally functional. The sink, with its modern contemporary rounded square edges and matching deep square sink bowl, allows large pots and pans as well as usual crockery and plates to be washed with ease. The sink has a unique horizontal grooved drainer pattern for water to slowly drain away from your dishes into the bowl. Care & Maintenance - Copper: Copper colours are a delicate finish compared to more hard-wearing chrome finishes and are more easily scratched. It should be looked after with care. The finish is produced using a special lacquer coating that may scratch if mistreated. Take particular care not to apply excessive force when drying with a cloth. Clean gently with warm water and a non-abrasive liquid soap and dry with a soft dry e-cloth or similar. Copper finish can become discoloured from limescale attacking the surface or perfumes contained in soaps and lotions.
