The Castelli Puro 4 Long Sleeve Cycling Jersey is the ideal mid-weight layering piece for serious cyclists navigating the transitional temperatures of early autumn or late spring. Featuring specialized 180g 3D knit fabric, it effectively traps warmth while maintaining necessary breathability to prevent overheating during high-output efforts. While it excels in fine, cool weather, it is not windproof or waterproof, meaning riders should carry a shell jacket if there is a risk of sudden rain or heavy wind.

The Castelli Puro 4 is best suited for temperatures between 12-18°C.
No, it is designed for breathability. It will let air pass through the fabric, which is why it is best for mild, fine weather.
Castelli gear follows an Italian race fit. If you prefer a more relaxed feel, you may consider sizing up compared to standard club-fit apparel.
While it can be worn for any cycling, it is optimized for road cycling aerodynamics and may be more fragile against trail-side branches or bushes.
Yes, it features a zipper cover at the collar to prevent chafing against the neck during long rides.
Wash the jersey inside out to protect the reflective strips from excessive friction against other clothing items.
Ensure you are using the correct size; the Castelli Puro 4 is designed for a performance fit and may feel overly loose if sized incorrectly.
This jersey is optimized for breathability; layer a light wind vest over the top for high-speed descents or gusty conditions.
Distribute heavy items evenly across all three pockets and ensure the waist gripper is pulled down completely to distribute the weight across the hips.
For the best results, pair this jersey with a high-quality technical base layer to maximize the moisture-wicking properties of the 3D knit fabric. Because it is a form-fitting piece, ensure you check the size chart to confirm your fit, as Castelli sizing tends to be geared toward a performance-oriented, slim profile. To maintain the elasticity and thermal properties of the garment, wash in cold water using a gentle, technical fabric detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can clog the fibers and diminish the wicking capability. Always air dry the jersey; high heat in a machine dryer will degrade the gripper elastic and the integrity of the synthetic knit.
