Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Unpack the parasol carefully. Insert the wooden pole into a suitable, sturdy base (sold separately). Ensure the base is heavy enough to support the parasol's height and width, especially in breezy conditions. Open the canopy by gently pulling the cord mechanism until it locks into place. To close, release the lock and guide the canopy down.
Compatibility: This parasol is designed for outdoor use on patios, gardens, and terraces. It requires a compatible parasol base with a pole diameter that fits the wooden components. Ensure your chosen base is stable and appropriate for the parasol's size.
Care: To maintain its appearance and durability:
- Cleaning: Wipe the cotton canopy with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For stubborn spots, use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely.
- Storage: During prolonged periods of non-use, or in adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, strong winds), it is recommended to close the parasol and store it in a dry place, such as a shed or garage, to protect the fabric and wooden components.
- Maintenance: Periodically check wooden components for dryness and consider applying a suitable wood oil or sealant if needed, following product manufacturer instructions.
