Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
This oil is specifically formulated for vehicles requiring ACEA C1 and Jaguar/Land Rover STJLR.03.5005 specifications. LIQUI MOLY also recommends it for vehicles needing Ford WSS-M2C 934-B, JASO DL-1, and specifications for Mazda and Mitsubishi. It is crucial to always consult your vehicle's owner's manual to confirm that this oil meets the manufacturer's exact requirements before use. Failure to use the correct oil specification can lead to engine damage.
Setup (Oil Change):
- Ensure the engine is warm but not hot. This helps oil drain more effectively.
- Safely raise the vehicle and place it on jack stands if necessary.
- Locate and remove the oil drain plug.
- Allow the old oil to drain completely into a suitable container.
- Replace the drain plug with a new washer if recommended.
- Remove the old oil filter.
- Lubricate the rubber seal of the new oil filter with a thin film of new oil.
- Screw on the new oil filter hand-tight plus an additional 3/4 to 1 full turn, or as per filter manufacturer instructions.
- Refill the engine with the correct amount and type of Liqui Moly Top Tec 4500 5W-30, as specified in your vehicle's manual.
- Run the engine for a few minutes, check for leaks, and then turn it off.
- Wait for a few minutes and check the oil level using the dipstick, topping up if necessary.
Care:
- Do not mix this oil with other oils, as this can compromise its specialized properties and effectiveness.
- Always store the oil in its original, sealed container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Dispose of used motor oil responsibly according to local regulations.
