Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation is Key: Ensure all exterior wood and metal surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, and flaking paint. For bare wood, apply a suitable primer. For previously painted surfaces, lightly sand them to improve adhesion. If painting metal, ensure it is free from rust and treated with an appropriate metal primer if necessary.
Application: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply evenly with a good quality brush or roller, working in the direction of the grain for wood. Two coats are generally recommended for best results and full protection. Allow adequate drying time between coats as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Compatibility: This paint is specifically formulated for exterior wood and metal. It is not recommended for use on interior surfaces, floors, or areas that undergo heavy abrasion. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area if unsure.
Care: Clean application tools immediately after use with water. For the painted surface, gentle cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent is sufficient. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the finish. Re-coating, if ever necessary after the guaranteed period, should follow the same preparation and application guidelines.
