Product Information

Full details

The Tala Plug In Pendant Light in Brass is designed for renters, homeowners, or interior enthusiasts who want professional-grade lighting without the need for complex, permanent electrical work. Its standout benefit is the combination of flexible positioning using the included nodes and an integrated in-line dimmer, allowing for instant atmospheric adjustments in reading corners or bedside areas; however, users should note that because it relies on a standard plug, it does require proximity to an available power outlet.

FAQs

Can I use any light bulb with this pendant?

We recommend using a dimmable Tala bulb to ensure full compatibility with the in-line dimmer switch.

Are the mounting nodes included?

Yes, two wall and ceiling nodes are included in the box to help you route and position the pendant.

What is the best way to clean the brass finish?

Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Avoid cleaning agents, as they can damage the protective finish on the brass.

Is this light suitable for bathroom use?

This light is designed for interior living spaces and is not rated for high-humidity areas like bathrooms.

Troubleshooting

The light does not turn on.

Verify the plug is securely inserted into the outlet and test the outlet with another device to ensure it has power.

The dimmer is not responding correctly.

Ensure the light bulb being used is a dimmable LED model; non-dimmable bulbs may flicker or fail to adjust intensity.

The cable is sagging too much.

Adjust the tension by tightening the cable within the provided nodes or adding an additional mounting point.

Pros and Cons

Pros

No professional electrician required for installation
Sophisticated brass finish complements various design styles
Flexible mounting options with included hardware nodes
Integrated dimmer offers excellent control over light ambiance
Ideal for areas lacking traditional ceiling junction boxes

Cons

Requires an accessible power outlet to function
Cable length may limit placement if outlets are sparse
Cable remains visible, which may not suit minimalist-only aesthetics

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward: ensure your chosen mounting surface can support the hardware, then screw in the nodes to guide the fabric cable to your desired location. The pendant is compatible with standard sockets and is designed to highlight the bulb, so choose your light source carefully to match the aesthetic. To care for your brass fixture, wipe it gently with a dry, soft microfiber cloth to prevent fingerprints or oxidation. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can strip the refined brass finish. Ensure the plug is fully seated in your wall outlet and keep the dimmer switch away from moisture or high-humidity environments.
