FAQs
Can I plant these in full sun?
No, Begonia Mocca Yellow prefers partial to full shade. Direct, intense sunlight can scorch the foliage and cause the flowers to fade prematurely.
How often should I water my Begonia?
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Aim to keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy.
Are these plants perennials?
In most temperate climates, these are treated as annuals as they are not frost-hardy.
What is the best way to feed them?
Use a balanced liquid plant fertilizer once every two weeks during the growing season to promote healthy growth and continuous blooms.
Can I grow these in hanging baskets?
Yes, their compact, mounded growth habit makes them an excellent choice for hanging baskets in shaded porch areas.
When is the best time to plant them?
Plant them outdoors once the risk of frost has fully passed in late spring.
Troubleshooting
Flowers are wilting or fading quickly
Check for excessive direct sun exposure; move the plant to a spot with more filtered light.
Yellowing leaves
This is often a sign of overwatering; ensure the drainage holes in your pot are clear and allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings.
Poor flowering
Ensure the plant is receiving adequate indirect light and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 14 days.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
When your Begonia arrives, ensure you transplant it into a high-quality, free-draining potting mix if using a container. While they love shade, they still require good airflow to prevent fungal issues. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged; over-watering can lead to root rot. During the growing season, a liquid feed every two weeks will encourage more prolific flowering. Once the first autumn frost arrives, the plant will naturally decline; if you are in a colder climate, you may choose to treat this as an annual or move containers to a frost-free, cool location to attempt overwintering.
