FAQs

What kind of metals can I use this centre punch on?

The BlueSpot Centre Punch is designed for use on a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and other common metal alloys.

Do I need any other tools to use this centre punch?

No, this centre punch is designed to be used independently. It has a spring-loaded mechanism that eliminates the need for a hammer.

How do I maintain the centre punch?

Keep the tip clean and store it in a dry place. You can also lubricate the spring mechanism occasionally for smooth operation.

What if the tip of the centre punch gets damaged?

If the tip becomes damaged, the punch may not work correctly. Consider replacing the centre punch if the tip is severely worn or damaged.

Is there a warranty for this product?

Please refer to the product packaging or retailer for warranty details. Warranties typically cover defects in materials and workmanship.

How much force should I apply?

Apply a moderate amount of force. The spring-loaded mechanism will do most of the work. Avoid excessive force, which could damage the tip.

Can I use this for non-metal materials?

While primarily designed for metal, you might use it on softer materials, but results may vary. Test on a small area first.

Troubleshooting

Centre punch is not making a mark.

Ensure the tip is making proper contact with the metal surface. Apply more force if necessary. Check if the tip is damaged or worn.

The punch mark is inconsistent.

Practice applying consistent pressure. Make sure the punch is perpendicular to the surface. Check if the surface is uneven.

The spring mechanism feels stiff.

Apply a small amount of lubricant to the spring mechanism.
