Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Remove the switch from the packaging and verify all components are present (switch, power cord, rack-mount kit).
- Connect Devices: Plug your network devices (IP cameras, APs, etc.) into the RJ-45 ports. Ensure the devices support PoE if you intend to power them through the switch.
- Connect to Network: Connect the switch to your existing network using one of the Gigabit uplink ports. Use an Ethernet cable for copper connections or an SFP module and fiber optic cable for fiber connections.
- Power On: Plug the power cord into the switch and a power outlet. The switch will start up automatically.
- Monitor PoE Usage: Observe the PoE usage LEDs to monitor power consumption and ensure you do not exceed the 370W budget.
