This versatile towed broadcast-spreader from Handy is a dual-purpose unit. It can be used during the growing season for the application of fertiliser, pesticide and grass-seed. During the winter months, it can be used to broadcast salt to help keep paths, driveways, and other hard-surface areas ice-free. It offers large-area productivity with a substantial 3.66m (12ft) maximum spread-width and boasts an impressive 80kg (175lbs) load-capacity. Large, wide-profile pneumatic tyres provide plenty of traction and are gentle on delicate surfaces. A corrosion-resistant poly hopper and sturdy metal frame ensure rugged durability. The spreader incorporates an adjustable feed-control for precise application. Further features include a hopper-screen to prevent clogging and a rain-cover to keep contents dry. NOTE: DO NOT USE WITH ROCK SALT. Using rock salt will damage the mechanism and shorten the product's life. Refined ice melting salt can be used, but be aware that using salt may corrode components and reduce the machine's lifespan. Clean the spreader thoroughly after using refined de-icing salt.
