Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your planter in optimal condition, consider the following:
- Drainage Preparation: Since there are no drainage holes, place a layer of leca (expanded clay pebbles) at the bottom if planting directly, though using a nursery liner is strongly recommended.
- Surface Protection: Given the stoneware base, place felt pads on the bottom if setting the planter on delicate wooden furniture to prevent surface scratches.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and maintain the luster of the reactive glaze. Avoid using harsh chemical abrasives or steel wool, as these can scratch the glazed surface.
- Placement: Ensure the planter is kept indoors to maintain the integrity of the finish, as extreme temperature fluctuations and UV exposure may impact the reactive glaze over long periods.
