The JCB Metal Cutting Discs are essential consumables for metalworkers, fabricators, and DIY enthusiasts who require high-precision cuts in mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. These 1.2mm extra-thin discs provide clean, fast, and accurate cutting performance, though users should note they are specifically engineered for thin profiles and require steady handling to prevent premature wear or disc breakage.

No, these are strictly for cutting. Using thin cutting discs for grinding is dangerous and may cause the disc to shatter.
While the bore size is standard, you should only use these discs with a 115mm guard for safety. Using them on larger grinders may exceed safety tolerances.
These discs are rated for a maximum of 13,300 RPM.
Yes, always wear eye protection, ear protection, and gloves, and ensure a spark guard is in place on your tool.
While they can cut aluminium, the material can clog the abrasive grit quickly; consider using a dedicated aluminium cutting lubricant if necessary.
Apply less pressure and let the disc RPM do the cutting; excessive force creates heat and abrasive shedding.
Ensure the locking nut is tightened correctly and the flange is free of debris or metal filings.
Check that the angle grinder guard is properly aligned and the workpiece is securely clamped to prevent deflection.
To install, ensure your 115mm angle grinder is unplugged or the battery is removed. Place the disc onto the spindle, ensuring the backing flange is clean and correctly seated. Secure the disc with the locking nut, using the pin spanner provided with your grinder. Do not overtighten. Regarding care, these discs are sensitive to humidity. Store them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place to prevent the abrasive bond from degrading. Inspect each disc for cracks or chips before mounting; never use a damaged disc.
