No, the ring is sold as a mount only and does not include a quarter sovereign coin.
The mount is specifically designed for a quarter sovereign. Any coin of the exact same diameter and thickness should fit, but testing is recommended.
The bezel is crafted from 9ct gold, while the mount itself is gold-plated sterling silver.
This piece is made in London, England, and hand-finished using traditional techniques.
Use a soft, dry polishing cloth. Avoid professional ultrasonic cleaners which may damage the setting or the coin.
Take the ring to a professional jeweler to have the 9ct gold bezel carefully tightened around the coin edge.
Use a specialized silver polishing cloth to restore shine, taking care to avoid abrasive rubbing near the gold bezel.
To insert your coin, carefully open the bezel slightly, place the coin into the center of the mount, and press the edges of the 9ct gold bezel gently back into place to secure the coin. This ring is compatible with coins that match the diameter and thickness of a standard British quarter sovereign. To maintain the luster, store the ring in a dry place, away from humidity. Clean using a soft, lint-free polishing cloth designed for mixed metals. Avoid using harsh chemical dips as they may react differently with the gold bezel compared to the sterling silver shank.
