The PawHut 135cm Extra Tall Dog Gate is designed for pet owners who need to keep larger dogs contained in specific areas while allowing smaller pets like cats to roam freely. It is ideal for busy households with stairways or doorways, offering a significant height advantage to prevent jumping; however, users should note that the pressure-mount system is best suited for flat, secure surfaces and may require the included screw fixings for high-traffic areas or wider configurations.

Yes, but you must use the provided screw-in hardware to secure the gate to the wall for safety reasons.
Yes, the cat door features a simple locking mechanism so you can control when your cat can move between rooms.
The pressure-mount system is designed to avoid damage, but for high-traffic areas, using the screw-fix hardware is recommended to prevent the gate from slipping.
The gate is designed to fit openings between 81 cm and 108 cm using the included extensions.
The lift-to-open mechanism is designed for simple, one-handed operation by adults.
At 135 cm tall, this gate is specifically designed to deter jumping and climbing better than standard-height gates.
Re-adjust the tension bolts on all four corners equally. If the gate is installed on drywall, consider using the screw-fix hardware for a more permanent, stable mount.
Ensure the gate is perfectly level. If the gate is tilted, the locking mechanism may not align properly; adjust the tension bolts until the gate frame is vertical.
To install, ensure your opening width is between 81 cm and 108 cm. Use the provided tension bolts to apply pressure against the doorframe or wall. If you are mounting the gate at the top of a staircase, the manufacturer strongly recommends using the included screw-in brackets for maximum safety. Periodically check the tension bolts every few weeks to ensure they remain tight, as normal use can cause slight loosening over time. To clean, wipe down the metal frame with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals that could corrode the powder-coated finish.
