Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure safety, the tow ball must be installed onto a compatible tow bracket using high-tensile bolts. Always verify that the tow ball mounting surface is flat and clear of debris before tightening. Use a torque wrench to reach the manufacturer's specified torque settings for the mounting bolts. Regarding care, regularly inspect the ball for any signs of excessive wear or scoring. If the diameter of the ball drops below the minimum safe threshold due to friction, it must be replaced immediately. Keeping the ball lightly greased helps reduce wear on both the tow ball and the trailer coupling head.
