FAQs
Are these gloves fully waterproof?
The gloves feature Extremities X-Dry® technology, providing high water resistance suitable for rain and snow. However, they are not designed for prolonged submersion.
How do I know if the touchscreen fingertips will work with my phone?
They are designed to work with most standard capacitive touchscreens. For best results, ensure fingertips are clean and dry. Results may vary with certain screen protectors or devices.
What temperature are these gloves suitable for?
They are ideal for cool to cold conditions. For extreme sub-zero temperatures, consider adding a liner glove for extra warmth.
Can I machine wash these gloves?
It is recommended to hand wash the gloves in cool water with a mild detergent. Avoid machine washing, bleach, and fabric softener.
What is the purpose of the nose wipe panel?
The nose wipe panel is a soft material integrated into the glove, typically on the thumb or forefinger, for wiping your nose when it's running due to cold weather.
How does the knitted cuff help?
The knitted cuff creates a snug fit around your wrist, acting as a barrier to keep cold air and drafts out, while also helping to seal in your body heat.
What does the wrist tether do?
The wrist tether attaches to your wrist, allowing you to secure the gloves to yourself. This prevents you from accidentally dropping or losing a glove when they are off your hands.
Troubleshooting
Touchscreen not responding
Ensure fingertips are clean and dry. Try pressing slightly firmer. Note that performance can vary by device and screen protector.
Hands feel cold in very low temperatures
These gloves are designed for challenging but not extreme sub-zero conditions. Consider wearing a thinner liner glove underneath for added insulation.
Water seeping through seams
While X-Dry® technology offers good water resistance, prolonged submersion or heavy downpours might eventually lead to some moisture. Ensure gloves are dried thoroughly after use.
Grip feels slippery when wet
The PU palm is designed for wet grip, but always exercise caution. Ensure the palm area is clean and free from dirt or oil.
