The Facom 205C.100 is a professional-grade DIN engineers hammer designed for mechanics, fitters, and construction professionals who require high impact force and vibration control. Featuring a robust 1000g head and a graphite core safety handle, it excels in heavy-duty assembly and metalwork tasks, though its weight may lead to fatigue during prolonged, continuous overhead use.

This model is primarily for heavy-duty engineering; for delicate work, a lighter model like the 250g or 300g version is recommended.
The graphite core is lightweight; the 1000g weight refers specifically to the steel head, which is the primary driver of the hammer's overall mass.
The total length is 360mm, providing a comfortable reach for most standard workshop tasks.
Facom hammers of this type are designed as a single integrated unit for safety; handle replacement is not recommended.
DIN stands for Deutsches Institut für Normung (German Institute for Standardization), ensuring the tool meets specific quality and safety metrics.
Inspect the head-to-handle interface for any cracks in the coating; if visible, discontinue use immediately.
Use a fine abrasive cloth to remove the rust and apply a thin layer of machine oil to protect the metal.
The hammer arrives ready for immediate use; no assembly is required. Because this is a high-impact tool, ensure the head remains free of debris before use. To maintain the life of the handle, avoid using the side of the head for prying tasks, as this can place unnecessary stress on the handle-to-head junction. Clean the head with a light machine oil occasionally to prevent oxidation, and inspect the handle for any deep gouges that might compromise the integrity of the protective coating. Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the elasticity and grip of the handle material.
