Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before placing your plant, ensure the base of the planter sits on a level surface to prevent tipping. Because of the substantial weight of the stone, it is recommended to fill the bottom quarter with lightweight drainage aggregate (such as expanded clay pellets) before adding soil; this improves drainage and reduces the overall weight of the container. For the best growth results, use a high-quality potting mix suitable for your specific plant variety. For routine care, periodically check the drainage holes to ensure they remain clear of debris or root blockage. If you are using the planter on a delicate stone or wood patio, consider using rubber feet or a plant caddy to allow airflow and prevent moisture buildup underneath.
