Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the hammer is straightforward: ensure the super plastic faces are seated deeply into the head before tightening the socket head cap screws. Use a compatible hex key to secure the faces, ensuring they are flush against the cast iron body. To maintain the tool, regularly inspect the socket head screws for signs of vibration-induced loosening, especially after prolonged heavy-duty use. Keep the plastic faces free from grease or oil to prevent slippage during strikes. When the faces eventually show significant wear or deformities, simply unscrew the cap screws, remove the old faces, and slide in new replacements. Store the hammer in a dry environment to prevent corrosion of the cast iron head.
