Full details

Special Hobby 72457 Bugatti 100 Racer 1:72 Plastic Model Kit. In the pre-war years, Ettore Bugatti, a very well known racing car designer, decided to turn his attention to aviation and create a concept for a racing aeroplane intended to win the Deutsch de la Muerthe races. Initially, the plane was designed with a single engine, but this was later revised to include two powerplants, housed asymmetrically in the sleek fuselage, each driving a propeller. These propellers were counterrotating, and the aircraft was intended to break the world speed record. The aeroplane was completed and ready just before the war began, but had to be hidden away.
