The 661 Evo Compression Jacket is designed for adult downhill and gravity mountain bike riders who demand elite impact protection without sacrificing mobility. Its standout benefit is the integration of D3O technology, which remains flexible while riding but instantly hardens upon impact to absorb force. While it offers industry-leading safety certifications, users should note that the high level of integrated protection makes it bulkier and warmer than standard base layers, requiring careful sizing for a proper fit.

It is highly recommended to remove the D3O pads and hand wash the compression jacket to preserve the elasticity of the fabric and the integrity of the pad pockets.
PADLOCK is an internal connection system that allows you to clip your 661 elbow and knee pads directly into the jacket, preventing them from slipping down during a crash.
Yes, the back protection insert can be removed from its internal pocket, making it easier to wash the garment or swap out the pad if necessary.
It includes a hydration bladder compartment, allowing you to carry water without a backpack, though it may not have enough space for large tool kits or spare tubes.
Yes, the 661 Evo is designed as a unisex product, though it is important to check the size guide to ensure the fit is appropriate for your body dimensions.
The D3O material reacts to body heat. Give the jacket a few minutes of wear so your body warmth makes the pads more pliable.
Ensure the compression jacket is the correct size. If it is too large, the armor will not stay indexed to your joints. Consider utilizing the PADLOCK system to anchor limb protection.
Route the tube through the specific cable/hose guides provided on the jacket straps to keep it secure and out of the way of your jersey.
To achieve the best fit, ensure the jacket sits snugly against your body; loose armor will not effectively protect your joints during an impact. The full-length zipper makes it easy to put on and remove, even when wearing a helmet.
Compatibility is straightforward: simply use the integrated PADLOCK loops to secure your matching 661 knee and elbow pads. For care, always remove the D3O protective inserts before washing the garment. Hand wash the fabric shell in cool water with mild detergent and hang to dry. Ensure the pads are completely dry before reinserting them into the jacket pockets.
