The MOLYSLIP TAP PLUS Tapping Compound is designed for metalworking professionals and enthusiasts seeking to maximize tool life and improve machining efficiency. Its key benefit is significantly extending the lifespan of cutting tools, reducing replacement costs and downtime. A potential caveat is its paste-like consistency, which requires proper application to avoid excess.

It is a high-performance lubricant paste used in metalworking applications like drilling, reaming, and tapping to extend tool life, improve productivity, and enhance surface finish.
Apply a small, sufficient amount directly to the cutting edge of the tool or the surface of the workpiece to ensure adequate lubrication without excess.
TAP PLUS is designed for a wide range of metals, but its effectiveness can vary slightly depending on the specific alloy and machining parameters. It is generally excellent for common steels, aluminum, and more challenging materials like stainless steel and titanium.
The non-drip paste formulation ensures the lubricant stays in place where it is applied, providing consistent lubrication to the cutting zone without running off.
It reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge through advanced additive technology, minimizing wear and preventing premature dulling or breakage of tools.
Yes, while designed for industrial applications, hobbyists performing metalwork will also benefit from extended tool life and improved results.
Store the tin in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed to maintain its consistency and prevent contamination.
Ensure the correct application amount is being used. Check for any underlying issues with the machine or tool setup. Verify that the specific metal being worked is within the optimal application range for the compound.
Confirm the tool is sharp and correctly ground. Ensure the workpiece material is clean and free of debris. Adjust feed rates and speeds according to machining best practices.
Use a suitable industrial degreaser or solvent immediately after machining. Avoid letting the compound harden on the workpiece or tool.
Setup: Apply a small amount of TAP PLUS directly to the cutting tool or workpiece before starting the operation. Ensure the tool and workpiece surfaces are clean for optimal adhesion and lubrication.
Compatibility: This compound is designed for a wide range of metalworking applications, including drilling, reaming, and tapping. It is compatible with most common metals.
Care: Store the tin in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use to maintain the product's consistency and prevent contamination. Clean up any excess product with a suitable degreaser or solvent if necessary.
