The Eclipse Steel Bar Clamp is designed for professional contractors and dedicated hobbyists who require heavy-duty, long-reach pressure for large-scale assembly. It offers exceptional stability through its fixed metal head and tapered jaw design, making it a reliable choice for woodwork, metalworking, and bicycle frame repairs. Users should note that its 54-inch length makes it a bulkier tool, requiring dedicated workspace and storage planning compared to smaller quick-release clamps.

Yes, the steel construction is durable, though it should be wiped clean and lubricated after exposure to moisture to prevent surface oxidation.
The fixed metal head is designed for permanent attachment to ensure maximum strength; it is not intended to be removed or replaced.
The clamp is rated for heavy-duty professional use, capable of significant force suitable for standard woodworking and metalwork assembly.
While the bar has holes for hanging, it is not designed to be bolted permanently to a workbench as it is meant to remain mobile for various clamping positions.
This is a bar clamp, not a pipe clamp; it is designed for flat or contoured surfaces rather than cylindrical pipes.
Clear any debris from the threaded rod and apply a light coat of machine oil or silicone-based lubricant.
Ensure the workpiece is flush against the jaw face and verify that the tapered jaws are aligned correctly to the center of the project.
Check that the clamp is not being stored horizontally under heavy items; always store vertically by the provided wall holes.
To maximize the lifespan of your Eclipse clamp, keep the threaded spindle lightly lubricated with a high-quality machine oil to prevent seizing. When not in use, utilize the pre-drilled holes at the end of the bar to hang the clamp vertically on a wall-mounted hook; this prevents the bar from bending or warping under its own weight. Always ensure the workpiece is centered against the tapered jaws before applying final torque to maintain even pressure distribution across the entire bar length.
