Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation:
Ensure the wooden surface is clean, dry, and free from dust. For previously painted or stained surfaces, remove all finishes by sanding. Wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with White Spirit to remove any grease, dirt, or residue.
Application:
Apply the Teak Oil liberally using a clean, soft cloth or a brush. Rub the oil well into the wood grain to ensure good penetration. Wipe away any excess oil that does not absorb into the wood. For best results and maximum protection, apply 2 to 3 coats, allowing a minimum of 24 hours drying time between each coat.
Compatibility:
Ideal for hardwoods such as Oak and Teak. Suitable for traditional matt finished interior furniture and garden furniture.
After Use & Cleaning:
Important: Soiled application cloths or rags contaminated with Teak Oil can pose a self-ignition fire hazard. Immediately after use, wash all cloths thoroughly with soapy water and dispose of them safely outdoors, away from flammable materials. Clean application equipment, such as brushes and any spills, using White Spirit.
