The Sealey S12SP14 Spark Plug Socket is an essential tool for automotive enthusiasts and professional mechanics requiring a reliable 21mm socket for spark plug maintenance. Engineered for precision, its primary benefit is the integrated retention insert that securely grips the spark plug to prevent accidental drops during removal or installation. While it offers excellent durability and grip, users should note that its 1/2-inch square drive size is specifically intended for larger ratchets and may not be compatible with smaller 3/8-inch drive sets without an adapter.

No, this socket is designed specifically for 1/2-inch square drive tools. You would require a 1/2 to 3/8-inch adapter if you wish to use a smaller ratchet.
This socket is specifically sized for 21mm spark plugs. Please verify your vehicle's specific spark plug size, as some modern engines use 14mm or 16mm plugs.
While it is made from durable Chrome Vanadium, it is designed for manual hand-ratchet use. High-torque impact wrenches may damage the internal insert.
The total length of the Sealey S12SP14 is 126mm.
Simply use a rag and a mild degreaser to wipe off oil and grime. The polished finish makes it easy to clean.
Ensure the socket is pushed all the way down until the internal insert captures the ceramic portion of the plug.
Gently wiggle the socket side-to-side while pulling upward to release the grip of the internal retention insert.
To use this socket, simply attach it to any standard 1/2-inch drive ratchet or torque wrench. Ensure that the socket is pressed firmly onto the spark plug hex to allow the internal insert to engage with the ceramic insulation. Regarding care, wipe the tool down with a clean, lint-free cloth after every use to remove engine oil and carbon deposits. Store in a dry toolbox environment to maintain the integrity of the mirror finish and prevent potential oxidation.
