Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect the Poly Trio 8300 to your network using the included LAN (RJ-45) cable. Ensure the network port supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). If PoE is not available, an optional PoE injector or PoE switch will be required.
- Connect the device to a power source via the Ethernet cable (if using PoE).
- The device will boot up and may download firmware updates. Follow on-screen prompts to configure network settings if necessary.
- Register the phone with your chosen communication platform (e.g., via web interface or provisioning server).
Compatibility:
The Poly Trio 8300 is compatible with a wide range of communication platforms, including major cloud-based UC and collaboration services. It supports standard IP telephony protocols. Ensure your network infrastructure meets the requirements for VoIP calls, including sufficient bandwidth and Quality of Service (QoS) settings.
Care:
- Clean the exterior of the phone with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the microphone and speaker grilles are free from dust and debris. Gentle dusting with a dry cloth is recommended.
- Operate the device within the specified temperature and humidity ranges: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) and 5% to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Storage temperatures range from -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F).
