What gimbals are compatible with the DJI Ronin Twist Grip Dual Handle?

The handle is compatible with the DJI RS 3 Pro, DJI RS 3, DJI RS 2, and DJI RSC 2 gimbals.

Can I use this handle with other gimbal brands?

No, this accessory is specifically designed for the listed DJI Ronin series gimbals and will not be compatible with other brands.

Does this handle come with the Ronin Tethered Control Handle?

No, the DJI Ronin Tethered Control Handle is a separate accessory and is not included with the Twist Grip Dual Handle.

How do I attach accessories to the handle?

The horizontal arms are equipped with 3/8''-16 and 1/4''-20 tapped holes, as well as cold shoe ports for mounting various accessories like microphones or lights.

Is re-balancing the gimbal necessary after attaching the handles?

Yes, adding the dual handles increases the overall weight and may shift the center of gravity, so re-balancing your gimbal is highly recommended for optimal performance.

What is the primary benefit of using this dual handle?

The primary benefit is enhanced stability and control, allowing for smoother footage and reduced operator fatigue, especially during extended use or complex camera movements.

How does the quick-release design work?

The handles utilize NATO ports, allowing them to be quickly attached and detached from the gimbal without the need for tools, facilitating faster setup and breakdown.

Troubleshooting

Handle not attaching securely

Ensure the NATO port on the gimbal and the quick-release plate on the handle are clean and free of debris. Check that the locking mechanism is fully engaged.

Accessories are loose on mounting points

Use appropriate mounting screws (1/4''-20 or 3/8''-16) and tighten them firmly. For cold shoe mounts, ensure the accessory's shoe is properly seated and secured.

Wobbly or unstable footage after attaching handles

Verify that the handles are attached symmetrically and securely to the gimbal. Re-balance your gimbal according to the gimbal's user manual, as the added weight may require adjustments.

Difficulty transitioning to briefcase mode

Ensure the NATO connections are fully released before attempting to reconfigure the gimbal. Consult your specific DJI gimbal's manual for detailed briefcase mode instructions.
